David Dudgeon

Associate Director

As an Associate Director within the Origination team at Capella Capital, David has worked on a variety of projects across the renewables, transport, education, health, government, utilities and property sectors. His project experience covers all phases, including EOI, bid, closing, delivery and operations.

David readily picks up new concepts and applies them to new situations in innovative ways. This has allowed David to gain experience in multiple fields including financial modelling, tax, accounting, financial structuring, debt and equity negotiations, commercials, insurance, technical due diligence, community and stakeholder engagement, SPV establishment and asset management.

David is intent on exceeding stakeholder requirements and has therefore developed strong relationships across the industry.

More recently, David has worked on the establishment of a managed investment vehicle (Lendlease Public Infrastructure Investment Company), structured and negotiated the financing package for the Melbourne Metro Tunnel PPP and worked as the key contact for government on the delivery of Capella Capital’s first solar project, managing all aspects of project delivery.

David has been working in the infrastructure sector for 15 years. Prior to joining Capella Capital, David worked at Babcock & Brown and Queensland Treasury Corporation where he focused on financial, operational and regulatory analysis of water, power and port infrastructure.

David’s attention to detail, commercial approach and varied experience allows him to provide well-considered and efficient solutions to various problems.
